Because we grew up on opposite sides of the country (okay, the Midwest isn't completely on the other side but it might as well be), we didn't really get to know each other until we were both in college and discovered email (yes, we really are that old). We have been like peas and carrots ever since.

"Unfortunately, we haven't been able to get our schedules together. While I was in California (and then France), Daniel was studying at West Point. When he finally got to Europe (he was stationed in Germany for three years), I was starting my career with Enterprise in So Cal. When I finally got back to Europe, he was in Texas and Kuwait! Honestly! If you didn't know any better, you'd think we were trying to avoid each other!

"Through it all, we've managed to stay in touch and take "mini trips" to visit. Of all the men I know (bar Brent, of course), Daniel is one of the most sincere, honest, and good-hearted. Responsible but fun-loving, intelligent and compassionate, Dan is someone I know will always be there for me, no matter what. George (his girlfriend) is one lucky woman!"
